One of the most important parts of my practice is breast surgery from breast reconstructions to breast augmentations.
In breast augmentation I typically see two different groups of patients. Some patients come in and are unhappy with the size of their breast, They never developed and they've always wanted to have a fuller bust and more cleavage. For those patients. they need to think about breast augmentation. This is going to enlarge and enhance the shape of their breasts the way it is.
Another group of patients are unhappy with the shape of their breasts. They may also be unhappy with the size of their breasts. But definitely, they have a problem with sagging, or a problem with the shape or position of the nipple and perhaps even unevenness (breast lift).
It's very common to see patients with what we call, asymmetry. That just means that the left and right side are not exactly the same. As we talk to patients about breast surgery we try to identify which problems they have and what they would like to improve.
