Dr. Rehnke is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He received his bachelor's degree, Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and he completed his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina.
Dr. Rehnke completed a five year General Surgery Residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then returned to Duke University Medical Center for three years where he was a Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Rehnke has published articles and written text book chapters on plastic surgery. He recently lectured on the subject of endoscopic plastic surgery at several national conferences. He has also worked as a consultant to the industry in the development of new surgical instruments used in performing endoscopic plastic surgery. He holds a patent on a surgical instrument which is now widely used by physicians in both breast reconstruction and breast augmentation.
